Editorial Policy

Rank4AI publishes research, analysis, and practical guidance on AI search visibility for UK businesses. This page explains how we research our content, how we fact-check, how we handle sources, and how we correct errors.

Source Standards

Every statistic, claim, or data point we publish is drawn from one of the following categories of source:

  • Primary research we have conducted (our own crawls, audits, or tracked citation data)
  • Peer-reviewed academic research (ArXiv, ICLR, Princeton, Stanford)
  • Platform disclosures from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, Microsoft
  • Industry research from named organisations (Statcounter, Similarweb, Semrush, Ahrefs)
  • UK government data (Companies House, ONS, FCA register)

We do not cite anonymous blog posts, AI-generated content, or unsourced social media claims as evidence.

Fact-Checking

Every claim with a specific number, date, or named entity is verified against the primary source before publication. Where sources disagree, we note the disagreement rather than pick a single figure. When a citation is behind a paywall or login, we link to the public summary and note the gate.

UK Focus

Rank4AI writes for UK businesses. We use British English, UK examples, UK regulators (FCA, ICO, Companies House), and UK place names. Where data is US-only, we flag the limitation and note whether the finding is likely to apply in the UK context. We do not republish US-centric content without review.

Authorship

Every article and guide is bylined to a named member of our team: Adam Parker, Jimmy Connoley, or Oliver Mackman. Every byline links to a full author profile with credentials and sameAs references. We do not publish anonymous or AI-only-generated content without human review and a human byline.

Use of AI in Our Workflow

We use AI tools (including Claude) for research synthesis, first drafts, and proofing, but every published piece is reviewed and edited by a human author before it goes live. AI-generated claims are verified against primary sources before publication. We do not publish unedited AI output.

Update Schedule

  • Monthly: Stats pages reviewed; "Last updated" dates refreshed where data has moved
  • Quarterly: Pillar guides reassessed against platform changes (AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT)
  • As needed: Immediate updates when platforms announce significant changes (policy, UI, citation behaviour)

Corrections

If you believe any information on this site is inaccurate, please contact [email protected]. We investigate every report. Verified errors are corrected within 48 hours and, where the correction is material, the page carries a visible "Corrected DD Month YYYY" note in the update history.

Sponsorships and Commercial Relationships

Rank4AI is an AI search visibility agency. We charge retainer fees for services listed on our pricing page. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid guest posts, or pay-for-placement coverage in our research or comparison content. Tool mentions, platform descriptions, and agency references in our editorial content are based on our independent assessment, not commercial arrangements.
